Mitch Williams graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree; Received an MBA from the University of Phoenix; and completed the Chartered Director’s Program at The Director’s College of McMaster University.
After spending more than 15 years in the enterprise software area of High Technology, Mitch ran a Home Helpers Home Care franchise for thirteen years with his wife and business partner Peggy Milne. Home Helpers provides in home care for seniors, patients recovering from surgery or treatment and new moms. The Agency continues to provide care to Seniors in San Mateo County today. They have two grown children and a 9 year old chocolate lab – Maisie. Mitch attempts to play golf, pickleball, classical piano, and is an avid user of the Peloton. Mitch is a member of the Rotary Club of San Mateo (California) and the Rotary Club of Barrie, ON.
Mitch is a graduate of Al Gore’s Climate Reality Leader Program, was formerly Chair of the Northern CA Board of the Home Care Association of America; is the current Chair of Home Helpers Corporate Innovation Council; was former Chair of the Home Care Association of America Advisory Council; was a former Board Member San Mateo Chamber of Commerce and the San Mateo Rotary; he is currently a Board Member and Chair of the Rotary Climate Action Team Network; is the current Chair of the Climate Change Committee of the San Mateo Rotary Club; and is a Board Member of Living Green Barrie and the Rotary Club of Barrie ON.
Awards and distinctions: January 2015 -2025 Leader in Excellence (now Experience) Award Home Care Pulse; April 2022 Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement Award (one of 4 offices to receive this award in the last 25 years); March 2019 Brand Ambassador Award; May 2018 Brand Ambassador Award; April 20, 2016 The BOLD Diamond and CEO Master’s Club Awards at the National Conference for being among the fastest growing and top revenue contributors across the US. Home Helpers San Mateo received the
Franchisee of the year award in 2017. Home Helpers San Mateo received the prestigious “Adam Brown Spirit Award” at the April 2015 National Conference in Orlando. Home Helpers franchise was awarded “Shooting Star” award at National Conference in 2014 for the fastest growing franchise in the US.
Mitch is now retired and continues to hold the position of Chair of the Rotary Climate Action Team Network (RCAT) and is on the Board of Living Green Barrie where he is actively involved in Board development. Mitch is also involved as a Director of the Board of the Barrie Springwater Oro Medonte Riding Association.
